Obama: Truth equals Smears

We've heard this refrain from Democratic presidential candidate Barry Soetoro/Dunham/Obama on more than one occasion. According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Obama stated that Republican nominee John McCain is "gambling that he can distract you with smears rather than talk to you about substance. They'd rather try to tear our campaign down than lift this country up. It's what you do when you're out of touch, out of ideas, and running out of time."

When the Republicans uncover potentially damaging information pertaning to the "Chosen One," the Obama camp instantly cries "smear" or "racist." We've heard it previously from Obama and his minions. Any effort to expose Obama for the socialist radical that he is, is met with either threats of litigation or baseless accusations.

Nor does it help when the overwhelmingly libeal Mainstream Media propagates the notion that attacks on Obama are racially-tinged. Yet, they're trying their DAMNEDEST to ensure that the American public doesn't learn who the real Obama is before the election. Carol Platt Liebau states the following (in a "what John McCain SHOULD be saying about Obama" treatise):

Barack Obama has multiple ties to those responsible for the present economic crisis?:

Franklin Raines, the immediate past CEO of Fannie Mae – who has collected a $90 million golden parachute while driving Fannie into the ground – has advised Obama on housing issues.

Jim Johnson, yet another former Fannie Mae CEO, resigned from Obama’s vice presidential search team when it was revealed he had received a sweetheart home mortgage deal.

Despite serving in the Senate for only four years, Obama himself has been the second-largest recipient of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac largesse in the entire Congress, ahead even of former presidential candidate John Kerry, who’s spent two decades in the Senate?

Obama’s long-time political ally, radical group ACORN, played a key role in pressuring banks to offer loans to those who were unlikely to be able to pay them back. ACORN has taken credit for pressuring banks to accept undocumented income as a basis for offering loans, for offering loans without using credit scores, and for making 100% financed loans available to low-income people.

There is more, of course. Do voters know:

That, in apparent defiance of federal election law, the Obama campaign refuses to identify individual donors who have provided almost half the funds for his campaign, including obvious fakes like “Mr. Good Will” and “Mr. Doodad Pro”? And that 11,500 donations to his campaign – totaling almost $34 million – may have come from overseas? Or that two Palestinians living in a Hamas-controlled refugee camp spent $31,300 in Obama’s online store? Who are all these people, and why won’t the Obama campaign obey the law and identify them?

Repeatedly, we’ve heard the media denounce the “rumors” about Barack Obama that are, supposedly, circulated on the internet exclusively by the bigoted and the ignorant.
Yet, as Liebau states above, the mainstream media, in an effort to defend ITS candidate, has proffered the notion that any accusations are based on race and hatred. Notice what they did when fellow Democrats raised legitimate points about Obama's lack of experience, voting record, political affiliations, etc.

He did it with both Bill and Hillary Clinton, as well as Geraldine Ferraro. It's an easy game to play if you're a minority. Furthermore, Obama has on occasion, warned voters that Republicans are so narrow-minded that they "will try to make voters afraid of him, and suggested they would use his race to scare up votes for John McCain.

Yep, it's all about race in this country. Rather than speak freely of someone's LACK of qualifications, we're forced to play nice in order to NOT offend someone. Obama KNOWS this; he knows that if someone brings forth a legitimate claim against him, because he's black, he can employ the race card.

Media aglow with Hilary's speech

I think I just threw up in my mouth.

While I knew the Mainstream Media is corrupt and reprehensibly liberal, they never cease to amaze me at the lengths they'll travel to fellate our Democratic civil servants.

Have you seen this article, courtesy of US News and World Report? It consists of a MSM coverage roundup of Hillary Clinton's speech last night at the Democratic National Convention. Note the following:

Hillary Clinton last night addressed the Democratic delegates gathered in Denver, and urged them to back her former rival Barack Obama. The speech, and Clinton's delivery of it, are receiving extremely positive reviews in today's newspapers. On its front page, the Los Angeles Times reports Clinton accepted "defeat with grace and generosity," and "moved to close the divide among fellow Democrats on Tuesday night by offering a forceful and unequivocal endorsement of her fierce rival." The New York Times reports Clinton "deferred her own dreams on Tuesday night and delivered an emphatic plea at the Democratic National Convention to unite behind her rival, Senator Barack Obama, no matter what ill will lingers." The New York senator "betrayed none of the anger and disappointment that she still feels and that, friends say, has especially haunted her husband." The Washington Times refers to a "rousing speech" that laid "rest to a bitter primary battle that left many of her supporters -- especially women -- seething months later." The AP reports "the speech was as much of an attack "on Sen. John McCain "as it was an embrace of Obama." The Washington Post reports Clinton said, "You haven't worked so hard over the last 18 months, or endured the last eight years, to suffer through more failed leadership. No way. No how. No McCain. Barack Obama is my candidate. And he must be our president."

The Rocky Mountain News says Clinton "did her best to put the hard feelings to rest." While the Denver Post headlines its story "Clinton: The Team Player," and notes that "Michael Barone, a conservative commentator, was nearly as lavish in his praise: 'If you read through the text, it's unimpeachable -- I guess I shouldn't use that term. It makes a logical case for people supporting Obama for the reasons they supported Hillary Clinton, in a rather artful way.'"

On ABC World News, which aired prior to the speech, ABC's chief Washington correspondent George Stephanopoulos contended that Sen. Clinton "genuinely believes that if John McCain wins it will be bad for the country. She knows that. She wants Barack Obama to win, whatever disappointment she feels. Whatever anger she feels about Barack Obama. And that's real, too."

Has anyone else excused themselves to vomit?

Obama's problem

So Barry Hussein Obama FINALLY visited Iraq; the streak of 900 plus days since the Democratic presidential candidate, who is absolutely unequivocal in his belief that United States military forces should be withdrawn from the country, is over.

The man, the agent of change, has presumably conversed with American military commanders and seen the progress of the surge on a microscopic level. So will the hard deadline of 16 months to remove all aforementioned troops stand?

On the whole we've seen Obama covertly, almost sneakingly, gravitate towards the political middle. According to the Baltimore Sun:
"He has softened or abandoned his earlier positions on a parade of issues, including wiretaps, abortion, trade with Mexico and Canada, gun control and public funding of his own campaign."
Of course, the morons on the far-Left are sulking that Obama abandoned the ideals that attracted them to his campaign in the first place. But, as I think most of us on the Right have established, 1.) despite efforts by the far-Left minority to establish the United States as Europe-lite, we are a CENTER-RIGHT country; 2.) Obama KNOWS that the key to his winning the presidency lies with working-class, sensible Democrats; those who "cling" to their guns and God, who have friends and family serving in the United States Armed Forces, and whose incomes are affected by obnoxious, far-Left induced, gas prices.

Barry may be understanding that the beliefs of the far-Left do not even remotely embody those of the rest of the country. I work with a gal whose views closely parallel the vile, odious far-Left: 1.) she is elitist; 2.) loathes those of us who adhere to a Judeo-Christian moral standard; 3.) lives in a fantasy world where terrorists are viewed as romantic freedom fighters waging a just war against marauding American imperialistic crusaders; 4.) mistakenly believes that George Bush and his neoconservative cronies created terrorism.

To whom does Barry wish to cavort and identify? Is it the far-Left? Or is it the working-class Democrat to whom rival Hillary Clinton empathized?
