Barney Frank: Playing the Race Card

Here we go (rolling eyes).

Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA), employing TYPICAL Liberal politics, stated "that Republican criticism of Democrats over the nation's housing crisis is a veiled attack on the poor that's racially motivated."

Typical, when presented with facts, this is what the Democrats do. They play the race card. Barry Obama isn't qualified? That's a RACIST attack!! The Democrats forced Affirmative Action down our throats through essentially coercion of financial institutions to lend to people with shady histories, no or low incomes, etc? That's a RACIST attack!!!

No, Barney; that's not a RACIST attack, that is a FACT instead. We taxpayers are suffering because you and your liberal minions, since the inception of the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977, have, under the threat of litigation, forced financial institutions to completely disregard all common sense and lending acumen, in order to put minorities into houses.

To compound the problem, you and your aforementioned liberal minions profited handsomely from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac campaign contributions.

Furthermore, Republicans such as George W. Bush and John McCain have issued warnings for year that, due to poor accounting practices, the above mortgage institutions faced financial peril. The Morning Bell states the following:
"(C)onservatives have been critical of how Fannie, and Freddie Mac, have leveraged their government-sponsored advantages (including exemptions from state and federal taxes, lower capital requirements, and the ability to borrow at rates well below those paid by private companies), to create a co-monopoly in the housing finance sector. When Fannie’s accounting scandal came to light in 2004, conservatives pushed hard for reforms to phase out Fannie and Freddie."
USA Today also adds that Conservatives should be furious that the Democrats, who essentially caused this mess, are getting off untarnished, no thanks to the corrupt liberal Mainstream Media:
"My bottom line: The McCain campaign is underestimating how absolutely furious conservatives are that free markets, and by extension Reaganomics and the last 25 years of American economic policy, are getting the blame for the housing and credit crisis. A real morale killer, they tell me. Over and over. Every day."
John McCain needs to remind the American public of that fact during tonight's debate.

Obama: Truth equals Smears

We've heard this refrain from Democratic presidential candidate Barry Soetoro/Dunham/Obama on more than one occasion. According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Obama stated that Republican nominee John McCain is "gambling that he can distract you with smears rather than talk to you about substance. They'd rather try to tear our campaign down than lift this country up. It's what you do when you're out of touch, out of ideas, and running out of time."

When the Republicans uncover potentially damaging information pertaning to the "Chosen One," the Obama camp instantly cries "smear" or "racist." We've heard it previously from Obama and his minions. Any effort to expose Obama for the socialist radical that he is, is met with either threats of litigation or baseless accusations.

Nor does it help when the overwhelmingly libeal Mainstream Media propagates the notion that attacks on Obama are racially-tinged. Yet, they're trying their DAMNEDEST to ensure that the American public doesn't learn who the real Obama is before the election. Carol Platt Liebau states the following (in a "what John McCain SHOULD be saying about Obama" treatise):

Barack Obama has multiple ties to those responsible for the present economic crisis?:

Franklin Raines, the immediate past CEO of Fannie Mae – who has collected a $90 million golden parachute while driving Fannie into the ground – has advised Obama on housing issues.

Jim Johnson, yet another former Fannie Mae CEO, resigned from Obama’s vice presidential search team when it was revealed he had received a sweetheart home mortgage deal.

Despite serving in the Senate for only four years, Obama himself has been the second-largest recipient of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac largesse in the entire Congress, ahead even of former presidential candidate John Kerry, who’s spent two decades in the Senate?

Obama’s long-time political ally, radical group ACORN, played a key role in pressuring banks to offer loans to those who were unlikely to be able to pay them back. ACORN has taken credit for pressuring banks to accept undocumented income as a basis for offering loans, for offering loans without using credit scores, and for making 100% financed loans available to low-income people.

There is more, of course. Do voters know:

That, in apparent defiance of federal election law, the Obama campaign refuses to identify individual donors who have provided almost half the funds for his campaign, including obvious fakes like “Mr. Good Will” and “Mr. Doodad Pro”? And that 11,500 donations to his campaign – totaling almost $34 million – may have come from overseas? Or that two Palestinians living in a Hamas-controlled refugee camp spent $31,300 in Obama’s online store? Who are all these people, and why won’t the Obama campaign obey the law and identify them?

Repeatedly, we’ve heard the media denounce the “rumors” about Barack Obama that are, supposedly, circulated on the internet exclusively by the bigoted and the ignorant.
Yet, as Liebau states above, the mainstream media, in an effort to defend ITS candidate, has proffered the notion that any accusations are based on race and hatred. Notice what they did when fellow Democrats raised legitimate points about Obama's lack of experience, voting record, political affiliations, etc.

He did it with both Bill and Hillary Clinton, as well as Geraldine Ferraro. It's an easy game to play if you're a minority. Furthermore, Obama has on occasion, warned voters that Republicans are so narrow-minded that they "will try to make voters afraid of him, and suggested they would use his race to scare up votes for John McCain.

Yep, it's all about race in this country. Rather than speak freely of someone's LACK of qualifications, we're forced to play nice in order to NOT offend someone. Obama KNOWS this; he knows that if someone brings forth a legitimate claim against him, because he's black, he can employ the race card.

Mainstream Media is "at it again:" Sarah Palin supposedly stumbles in interview

They'll do anything, won't they?

You know to whom I refer: the Mainstream Media; let me rephrase that: the liberal, corrupt Mainstream Media.

According to the Minneapolis Star and Sickle, er Star-Tribune, "Sarah Palin defends qualifications, struggles with foreign policy questions."

Really? Because I don't see it.

The Star-Tribune adds the following:
"In her first televised interview since being named to the GOP ticket, Sarah Palin says she's ready to be president if called upon. However, she sidestepped questions on whether she had the national security credentials needed to be commander in chief."
Here's what we have, fellow readers: a vain attempt by the LIBERAL, CORRUPT, Mainstream Media to somehow make us forget the endless verbal gaffes committed by their chosen one, Democratic presidential candidate Barry Soetoro/Dunham/Obama and focus on purported verbal missteps committed by Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Nice try.
"In the interview broadcast Thursday, Palin sought to defend her qualifications to assume one of the most powerful jobs in the world. But she struggled with foreign policy, unable to describe President Bush's doctrine of pre-emptive strikes against threatening nations and acknowledging she's never met a foreign head of state.

Pressed about what insights into recent Russian actions she gained by living in Alaska, Palin told Charles Gibson of ABC News, 'They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.'"

Can you just sense the glee in which the author penned this story? Can you see liberals looking down their collective noses at this mother of five, who served as mayor of a small town? I sure can.

I would be far more worried about Palin's inexperience if she was running for PRESIDENT, which she is not. Instead, that would fall on Messiah Obama. Remember, he's the one who stated that he would meet unequivocally with any head of state without preconditions; furthermore, he said he would strike INSIDE Pakistan to destroy Al Qaeda, even though the Mainstream Media skewered President Bush this past week for doing so.

The liberals and their benefactors in the media love to distort and filter the news. But make no mistake, it's not Palin who's running for president. Attempting to compare her alleged foreign policy misgivings to that of Golden Boy Obama is futile at best, ridiculous at worst. I'm wondering if the liberals, for all the bravado as to how superior in intellect they are to those of who cling to God and guns, need a lesson in potty training: #1 does NOT equal #2.

Obama camp comments about Palin: Party of the Working Class No Longer...OFFICIALLY

Message to Barry Hussein Obama and your Leftist enablers: you are officially no longer the party of the working class, middle class, poor, small-town, rural, American citizens.

Pat yourself on the back.

I'm sure your hubris has blinded you to this fact, but after reading the Obama camp response to Republican presidential candidate John McCain announcing Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his vice presidential candidate, it's all over.

According to the sadistic Huffington Post, "Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency. Governor Palin shares John McCain's commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade, the agenda of Big Oil and continuing George Bush's failed economic policies -- that's not the change we need, it's just more of the same."

It's part and parcel with Obama's arrogance; note his "God and guns" comment to a group of San Francisco liberals (rolling eyes), as well as his position on the the environment (including Nancy Pelosi, Al Franken, et al.).

What you're doing by pushing an alternative energy overhaul on the American public, coupled with capping carbon emissions is potentially driving up energy prices, thus crippling small businesses and the middle class.

What happens when the middle class is using most of its paychecks for energy? It stops buying, it stops going out to restaurants, it stops going on vacations. Can you imagine what that will do to the economy?

What happens when small businesses are paying exorbitant energy prices, consuming much of its overhead? It lays off workers, bottom line.

High gas prices, high energy prices, eliminating small businesses will NOT affect Ben Affleck, Sheryl Crow, Michael Moore, among others. But it will affect working class America.

It's just too bad your messianic message has clouded our country's collective judgment. You, as president, will ultimately destroy this country.

Star Tribune: McCain is "Swift-Boating" Barry Obama

The Leftist media's "Messiah," that's Barry Hussein Obama, is facing some tough talk from Republican presidential candidate, John McCain.

And rightfully so...

And now the Left is crying "foul." The Minneapolis Star Tribune, no stranger to liberal media politics, asks, "Is John McCain's attempt to tie Barack Obama to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton in an attack ad this week the "Swift Boating" of Obama?"

We're all sorry, Leftist trash, but you "Swift-boated" President Bush for the last years, especially on warrentless wiretapping and the Iraq War.
"But in striking an aggressive pose, McCain is in danger of letting the caricature of an angry, petulant candidate take seed -- not so much because he is one, but because it stands in stark contrast to Obama's carefully cultivated, well, celebrity, and McCain's own promises to run a respectful campaign."
The statement coalesces perfectly with the pie-in-the-sky mentality perpetuated by Obama's "change/unification" message: "why can't we all just get along?" The Left possesses the inane notion that if we all just lay down our arms and engage in "dialogue," the world's ills will work itself out.

Unfortunately, this is the real world, and McCain is asking tough questions to REAL-LIFE issues. Take for example the issue of energy: McCain has pushed for Congress to lift its off-shore oil drilling ban, cultivate nuclear power, develop clean coal solutions, and implement oil shale. Obama's response? Push for more alternative energy solutions, despite that 1.) the implementation of said "alternative" power is costly (installing solar panels on houses, for example, isn't cheap; neither is buying "environmentally-friendly" light bulbs, as well); 2.) alternative energy is unproven at best, risky at worst. It has no track of being a viable energy solution for a country that relies on REAL energy to propel its economy.

If anything, McCain is exposing the fact that Obama is 1.) completely disassociated with working class individuals; 2.) is bought and paid for by the radical Left, namely anti-war and environmental fringe groups.
"'The campaign is making him seem angrier than he is and therefore it's a disservice to him,' said John Weaver, McCain's former senior strategist, who left the campaign in a shake-up last year."
Message to arrogant, boneheaded, out-of-touch liberals: these are angry times, and people are angry: angry at the notion that putting gas in our vehicles prohibits us from "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," illegal aliens, welcomed by the Left, consuming our tax dollars for education and health costs, high taxes and admittedly at waging wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Those are the realities.

Somehow Barry Obama has hoodwinked a significant portion of people in this country to his message of "change." Whether it's unwavering view that the surge in Iraq served no purpose, or his plan to implement "economic justice," or that dialogue will keep us safe from Islamic terrorists, the Left is intoxicated with the Barry message.

Message to Barry Obama: You're NOT running for European president

...so quit pandering to the weak, emaciated, spineless appeasers there.

Regarding the Iraq War and toppling Saddam Hussein and his murderous regime: we merely enforced 16 United Nations resolutions to which Saddam violated. Ousting the "Butcher of Baghdad" should have been done at some point in the 12 years prior to the 2003 United States invasion.

Furthermore, who's side is Obama on? In a pathetic attempt to grovel, Barry pandered to 200,000 fans at a rally in Berlin, undoubtedly appeasing those willing to cower and surrender, ultimately waiting for the United States to do their dirty work, than stand up for anything real.

We've heard from Barry, ad nauseum, that we need to emulate Europeans more; I'm assuming, besides adopting the horrors of socialized medicine, that includes the aforementioned appeasing, $10 dollar a gallon gas, shady deals with third-world despots, anti-semitism, and the inability (with notable exceptions: Britain, Poland, Bulgaria, etc) to combat terrorism and the intolerance associated with its "Religion of Peace."

Note this comment from Barry Hussein, courtesy of NewsMax.com:
"'Instead of worrying about whether immigrants can learn English,' Obama told a Georgia audience, '. . . you need to make sure your child can speak Spanish.”

Obama then quickly attempted to broaden and blur his statement, adding: “We should have every child speaking more than one language.

'It’s embarrassing,' he continued, 'when Europeans come over here, they all speak English; they speak French; they speak German. And then we go over to Europe and all we can say is ‘Merci beaucoup.’”

Typical elitist-speak from Barry. I'm surprised the McCain camp hasn't jumped all over the elitist rhetoric. Barry has demonstrated repeatedly that he's grossly out of touch with the general American populace. Furthermore, he and his Democratic brethren, while pandering to the environmental lobby, are bleeding this country.

Advice to McCain: move on this.

The RepubliCAIN's plan of attack: Exploit the Energy Issue

There's a critical issue at stake in the forthcoming 2008 election; it doesn't take a Pulitzer Prize winner in Physics or Chemistry to figure out what it is either:

It's all about the energy, baby.

Really, it's an extension of the elitist attitude prevalent in Democratic presidential candidate Barry Hussein Obama. His true colors became evident a few months ago when he stated to a group of San Francisco liberals that small-town Americana "get(s) bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

It's this elitist, "chablais-and-brie" crowd (courtesy Pat Buchanon) to whom Obama and his Democratic counterparts in Congress are pandering. Rumor has it that back in the day Democrats SUPPOSEDLY represented the working class.

You could fool me, because right now certain policies practiced by the know-nothing Democrats are completely alienating mainstream, middle-class, and working-class America: their policy on energy and the open border crowd.

Regarding open borders, the bottom line is this: you can't purport to represent working class families, yet pander to the La Raza-type groups that believe we should allow immigrants to 1.) illegally stream over our border; 2) stay in this country; 3.) steal jobs; 4.) cost taxpayers millions in education and health care costs; 5.) support sanctuary cities.

It's time the Republicans took this election back from the Democrats. For this purposes of this treatise, the Republicans, led by presidential candidate John McCain, should "drill" (no pun intended) the liberals and their Democratic enablers on energy.

Of course, rather than take a real course of action, in other words, drill for oil in Alaska or off-shore, the Democrats want oil companies to further explore for oil on already developed/purchased lands.

In an absolutely disdainful maneuver, the Democrats would rather offer bullshit solutions, such as the one above, or offering plans that include solutions that are either too expensive to implement, or ultimately worthless.

Dick Morris said it best yesterday:

Meanwhile, McCain and the Republicans have finally found an issue - oil drilling - exposing how the Democrats oppose drilling virtually anywhere that there might be recoverable oil. Not in Alaska. Not offshore. Not in shale deposits in the West. The Democratic claim that we “cannot drill our way out of the crisis in gas prices” begs the question of whether, had we drilled five years ago, we would be a lot less dependent on foreign market fluctuations.

The truth is that the Democrats put the need to mitigate climate change ahead of the imperative of holding down gasoline prices at the pump. If there was ever a fault line between elitist and populist approaches to a problem, this is it. In fact, liberals basically don’t see much wrong with $5 gas. Many have been urging a tax to achieve precisely this level, just like Europe has done for decades.

It's also an opportunity for Republicans to reinvent themselves; it's time for the Grand Ol' Party to return to days of fiscal responsibility. Balance the budget, shrink government, and demonstrate some damn restraint. Do NOT give the Defeatocrats any ammunition.

Attacking McCain's "Patriotism"

Is it any wonder that the Liberal smear machine, led by Democratic presidential candidate Barry Obama, is attacking the credibility and patriotism of rival John McCain?

In the age of Defeatism, when a liberal (Obama) has to perversely explain how his patriotism is a different brand of patriotism, it all oddly makes sense. Recently, we've had conservative-turned-liberal, General Wesley Clark, explain how McCain is NOT a war hero, or isn't patriotic.

Just because McCain's fighter jet was shot down during the Vietnam War, just because he was held captive in the Hanoi Hilton, just because he SERVED HIS COUNTRY, does not a war hero make, according to Clark. This coming from a man who's tenure as Supreme Allied Commander of NATO was cut short due to integrity and character issues.
" He continued, "I don't think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president."
Now of all times, with the flood of defeatist, godless liberal pummeling the very foundations of this country, we need a hero, someone with a vision to assume the mantle of leadership carried by President George W. Bush, someone NOT worried about "inflaming" the sensitivities of islamo-fascism, someone not afraid to tap into our vast energy resources, someone who return the great Republican party back to FISCAL CONSERVATISM.

As for Obama, he's imploring voters to take his word that despite refusing to wear an American flag pin, calling for a speedy withdrawal of troops from Iraq, pandering to Islamic terrorists, etc, that he IS patriotic (don't forget his wife's run of denigrating remarks of the United States as well):
"Barack Obama yesterday sought to portray himself as a mainstream American patriot and put his Republican opponents on notice that he would "not stand idly by" when others questioned his support for the US flag."
McCain might not be the most idyllic Republican nominee. Often he has not ingratiated himself to fellow Republicans with his proclivity to stepping across the proverbial aisle and working with Democrats on a compromise legislation. But with all the bluster Obama has raised regarding "change" and "unification," it's in fact McCain that has demonstrated unity and compromise.

To Obama: Why? Why Do You Insist on Defeat?

I came across this article, courtesy of CNN.com, whereby Democratic presidential candidate Barry Obama insists his mind is set on withdrawing troops from Iraq after he's elected.

My question to Obama: why? Why do you and your liberal ilk insist on singing the Defeatist refrains? Why do you insist on disparaging our military under the guise of supposedly supporting them? Why do you insist on sending our enemies a message that if THEY persevere and engage in a low-intensity warfare, our country collectively will turn tail and run?

Just what purpose does that serve?

You just don't get it, do you Barry? Neither do your Leftist brethen...

Some points from the article:
"Obama says the need to withdraw troops is twofold:

'One is to spur more action out of the Iraqis. ... But the second reason for withdrawal is the fact that we're spending $10 [billion] to $12 billion a month in Iraq,' Obama said Monday while on a two-day swing through Michigan.

'The people here in Flint, Michigan, who I'm going to be talking to, would like to see some of that investment made here at home.'"

Of course these are the same people Obama admonished for being narrow-minded by clinging to God and guns while frowning on immigration.

Second, Republican presidential candidate pointed out, correctly mind you, that Obama has NOT visited Iraq for nearly 900 days.

"About the same time Obama was speaking to his traveling press corps, McCain told reporters at a press conference at his Arlington, Virginia, headquarters that Obama 'is now is closing in on his 900th day since he visited Iraq.'"

'The whole debate in this campaign should be about whether we're going to allow that surge to continue to succeed or we're again going to do what Sen. Obama wanted to do, and that is to set a date for withdrawal long ago without giving the surge a chance to succeed,' said McCain, again criticizing Obama for not meeting directly with Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. military commander in Iraq.

'I don't know how you can draw conclusions such as Sen. Obama has without even sitting down and talking with our commander on the ground,' he added."

This falls in line with the same tired argument that I hear from liberals ad nauseum, that the surge hasn't worked, we're killing more civilians than terrorists, and our young fighting men and women are dying by the hundreds for nothing. Granted, I've never been to Iraq, but guess Liberal, you haven't either. I don't CARE what CNN or CBS tells you, when 9 out of 10 journalists across ALL media states that he/she leans left, I know I need to filter my mainstream media.

What I DO know however, is that I am willing reports from our military, typical nonpartisan folks that believe serving their country is their top priority, not an elected leader.
